Our 20 week ultrasound was not a happy day full of pretty pictures, but instead the start of a long journey to address a critical congenital heart defect. Follow along by reading our Journal.
These journal entries make the most sense if you read them all, from oldest to newest. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to read from the first entry, “A Turn of Events.”
Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl!! Sending love and prayers.
Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tim
Audrey and Dave, first off, congratulations! Nice looking kiddo. If she’s anything like her mama, she’s a fighter, and I suspect an early mover, despite Congenital heart disease. Personally, we have 2 kids in our practice w/ HLHS, ages 15 and 7. The 7 year old was born at our hospital, and looked good, but something just wasn’t right, and he reached the Children’s hospital just as his ductus was closing. He did require the palliative ASD, and repairs were done at U of M. Today, you would meet him and never know he has HLHS. I know the initial journey is hard and scary, but there is definite hope! Ebaughs will be sending prayers and good vibes your way.
